This position will allow a flexible (hybrid) work arrangement, but will require Indiana state residency. Your Impact?

The Enterprise Architect assists the Director of Enterprise Architecture in the design, planning and governance of services and processes, the development and maintenance of a high-level design plan for overall logical and technical IT architecture, and the execution of the Enterprise Architecture strategy. The Enterprise Architect will help lead the tactical design and planning of operationalizing the IT strategic plan and roadmap to modern technology platforms such as SalesForce, Mulesoft, API’s, Azure, AWS & other platforms.The Enterprise Architect works in partnership with teams across the organization to evaluate new technologies and design and implement scalable and robust solutions incorporating best practices and standards to deliver business value. Assist in efforts to ensure INPRS has the proper standards and processes in place to efficiently and effectively deliver system functionality and services.

Essential Duties:

  • Assists in the planning and implementation of technology roadmaps.
  • Assists the organization in researching solutions, solicits input from outside industry experts, and proposes solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Documents and develops in-depth knowledge of organization’s existing IT architecture, infrastructure, and technology portfolio.
  • Works with IT teams to ensure requirements are understood and translated to technical solutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Sound technical skills and stays current with technology changes, best practices and standards.
  • Must show an ability to learn the various provisions of a multiple plan pension system and concepts related to institutional investment and retirement planning.
  • Ability to create positive work relationships.
  • Proficiency in working with and at management level.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment and with employees at all levels/areas of the agency.
  • Good understanding of industry best practices and standards including ITIL, DevSecOps, and Agile.
  • Good grasp of network services including Virtualization, DNS, Web, and Database.
  • Experience with solutions that provide for high levels of security and control.
  • Good understanding of solution design and infrastructure services including Virtualization, Containers, Cloud, XaaS, SOA, and Database.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in infrastructure and/or application development.
  • Experience and understanding of Oracle middleware, database, and applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks; TOGAF.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies.
