Offering more than 100 certificate, associate and bachelor’s degree programs, Daytona State College (DSC) has responded to the education and workforce training needs in our region for more than 60 years. The college enrolls nearly 25,000 students annually at its seven instructional sites, with graduates serving in critical fields including health care, emergency services, business, education, hospitality, engineering, technology and more.


We currently have an opportunity to join our team of talented and diverse Faculty and Staff as an Enrollment Specialist.


Required Qualifications: This position requires an associate’s degree and a minimum of six (6) months experience in sales, recruitment, student enrollment, banking, or related field. World-class customer service skills are essential.


This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $16.11 with an approximate annual amount of $33,500.


Working Hours: Work hours will vary between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings and weekends hours are required. This position will be based at the DeLand Campus. However, responsibilities of this position may require travel for temporary assignment or permanent relocation to any of Daytona State College campuses.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Proactively inform and assist with general inquires and enrollment processes via phone, email, chat, and in person in a timely and efficient manner with a high level of customer service as all times
  • Ensure an efficient experience for students with completion of required forms and documents, resolving registration issues, processing administrative changes, review transcripts, request documentation, process reinstatements and withdrawals, and re-sets student passwords
  • Performs the functions of admissions, registration, and cashiering (reconciling/verifying/interpreting student accounts)
  • Demonstrate knowledge regarding applicable Department / College and State / Federal regulations, policies and procedures relating to the enrollment process, appeals, graduation, scholarships, and other general knowledge necessary to communicate with the public (students, parents, staff, and faculty)
  • Maintains, accesses, inputs, and retrieves data from the college departmental and external databases
  • Attends staff meetings to exchange information and professional seminars and / or conferences to improve professional skills
  • Assists other departments as necessary when assigned on any campus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: As an Enrollment Specialist, you will serve on the Records and Registration Team, to provide service for students, faculty, staff, and the public to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from inquiry to graduation.
