Job Description:
Microchip at our beautiful Oregon campus is seeking a qualified, motivated and creative Process Engineer for our Thin Films area! The Thin Films Process Engineer will develop, sustain and improve production processes at Microchip's Fab-4 manufacturing facility in Gresham, OR. The focus of this position is to drive quality improvements that enhance product yield and reliability.
Duties (include but are not limited to):
  • Conduct quality improvement projects to maximize product yield and reliability.
  • Support critical quality systems: PFMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D Problem Solving, Change Control.
  • Develop new processes required to manufacture next generation products.
  • Design and analyze experiments to qualify new production tools and process technologies.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process problems.
  • Write process specifications and technical reports.
Requirements/Qualifications:
You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
  • BS/MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent.
  • One to 0-2 years experience in Semiconductor CVD/PVD process engineering.
  • Experience with AMAT Centura/Producer/Ultima, Novellus Speed/Sequel/Altus, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience with AMAT Endura PVD or comparable platforms.
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication.

Able to lift 20 lbs; push, pull approx. 50 lbs; carry 20 lbs; sit 60%; stand 20%; walk 20%; must be able to perform activities that include climbing, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, hearing, talking, seeing. Work environment
