The Pratt & Whitney Engine Health monitoring team is a worldwide 24x7 organization hyper-focused on the needs of our commercial airline customers and driving profitability. As P&W engines fly, engine data is transmitted to us and processed through our Advanced Diagnostic Engine Management (ADEM) system. Our team then reviews that data for anomalies that signify an adverse health condition of the engine and make direct airline contact to recommend maintenance while minimizing disruptions to operations. In areas where we find opportunity, we help develop alerts and lead operationalizing them to a point where they can result in direct airline communications. We also evaluate the system performance of the engine both on-wing and off-wing enabled by data science techniques to allow for efficient fleet management for the commercial aftermarket and customer support teams.

These positions are based at the P&W Puerto Rico facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily on-wing engine health monitoring and diagnostics services to air transport operators
  • Provide direct and timely feedback to customers on troubleshooting procedures and maintenance recommendations, and provide periodic fleet status reports
  • Contribute to engine analytics development, process improvements, and automation
  • Aid in troubleshooting engine operational and performance issues
  • Participate in maintenance planning discussions to support engine removal planning, shop maintenance requirements, and resolution of operational problems.
  • Perform low to medium complexity qualitative and quantitative safety risk assessments on gas turbine propulsion system flight safety hazards.

Other areas of responsibilities to be supported as needed are:

  • Attend and participate in group meetings, teleconferences, and/or training required.
  • Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using internal quality tools.
  • Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Fluent in English (verbal/written)
