ENERGOV ADMINISTRATOR GRADE 34 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK: Configures, supports, maintains and enhances the EnerGov Land Management System; receives and troubleshoots problems; recognizes business problems and works proactively on technical solutions; prepares detailed procedural documentation; and does related work as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS: (These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.)  Develops and implements phased implementation of the EnerGov Land Management System;  Troubleshoots, analyzes, detects, identifies and corrects technical problems and deficiencies.  Provides technical and professional consultation on information system and policy/procedure matters to department divisions;  Assesses problems diminishing the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and develops strategies for addressing them;  Assesses and coordinates the installation, maintenance, testing and repair of electronic systems and related equipment and parts;  Performs diagnostics, resolution, and technical support for EnerGov computer system.  Provides analysis of departmental specific services delivery problem areas and make recommendations for improvement;  Prepares and maintains documentation pertaining to the design, objectives and operations of the EnerGov System;  Attends training sessions to maintain abreast of technical advances;  Manages the training of user personnel; designs, preparation and implementation of testing plans for new and enhanced software.  Performs related tasks as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge and experience with installing and maintaining various computer hardware and software programs. Superior customer service and written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Requires combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associates degree in computer science or related field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects; work requires fingering, grasping and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for depth perception, color perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is not subject to adverse environmental conditions.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.70 - $47.27 per hour
