Seeking EMS and Trauma Office Coordinator!!
Baptist Health Floyd, Emergency Medical Services
Full-Time (40 Hours/Week), Days
Job Duties:
Responsible for reviewing run reports and initial patient billing preparation. Provides administrative/secretarial support to the Director and Manager of EMS, scheduling meetings, drafting letters and memos, typing correspondence, forms, and other documents. Answers phones and routes messages to the correct party. The EMS Coordinator is also expected to operate as an EMT when necessary to support department and community needs. The Office Coordinator is the Trauma Registrar.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
EMT certification through the Indiana Board of EMS
BLS for Healthcare Provider required
Valid Driver’s License
Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS) within 3 months of hire
Trauma Registry Course Certificate including the following content (abstraction, data management, reports/report analysis, data validation, HIPAA) within 3 months of hire
ICD 10 course within 3 months of hire and a refresher course every 5 years.
24 hours of Trauma Related CEUs during trauma verification cycle
Previous experience preferred
