Bridgeways is seeking a Employment Support Counselor | Case Manager for our Supported Employment services. Use your skills to support people with mental health concerns in Snohomish County in finding employment opportunities. This is an extremely rewarding position where you can directly help people struggling for stability and consistency in their lives.

Type & Pay:
Full Time, non-exempt, paid biweekly. Salary range from $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, DOE

Primary Responsibilities for Employment Specialist | Case Manager:
  • Provides vocational assessment, service coordination, job development and job placement services to assist individuals realize their respective employment goals.
  • Provides case management/information and referral to other community resources; supportive counseling as appropriate utilizing Motivational Interviewing to facilitate coordination with other resources.
  • Assists individuals in the community to obtain necessary documentation for benefits and to coordinate service provision.
  • Represents Bridgeways in community and regional activities, committees, and work groups as requested.

Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE required for Employment Specialist | Case Manager
  • 1 years' experience working in a social service or behavioral health agency preferred OR
  • 1 years' experience working with adults with chronic and persistent mental health concerns OR
  • Lived experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in social science related field.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • Must be able to practice empathetic listening, humility, curiosity, and self-awareness and be able to work collaboratively with people with varied personalities, disabilities, cultures, and interests while maintaining healthy boundaries.
  • Bilingual ability may be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public is very important.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Proficient with PC including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams.
  • Ability to learn and utilize electronic medical records for confidential and safe record-keeping that conforms to agency requirements.
  • Ability to efficiently manage one’s daily, weekly and monthly work schedule including in-office sessions and travel to out-of-office appointments, meetings, etc. to meet or exceed productivity standards and caseload needs.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the individual.
  • Able to work as an effective team member.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must be able to pass Background and OIG check. Convictions will not automatically disqualify you from employment with Bridgeways. We will consider the particular circumstances of each case and any additional information that can be provided.
  • Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration, or the ability to obtain registration within 90 days of hire.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Washington State Drivers License.

Case Managers may be required to work in both an office setting and in the community to meet the needs of our clients. In an 8-hour workday, an employee always talks/hears; usually is walking and standing with occasional sitting, driving, and rarely stooping, kneeling or crouching. An employee’s job requires occasional use of a standard and cellular telephone, viewing computer/monitor and typing, also with occasional handwriting. Occasionally lifts weights varying from 5 pounds to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts objects from 29”-65”.
