Job Summary: Lead and/or monitor a variety of recreation activities, special events and trips. Responsible for the overall cleanliness and look of the Recreation Center. Responsibilities:

Job Summary: Lead and/or monitor a variety of recreation activities, special events and trips. Responsible for the overall cleanliness and look of the Recreation Center.
- Develop and coordinate activities and trips per approval of Rec Center Manager.
- Responsible for the day-to-day cleanliness of the Recreation Center by performing light facility maintenance and custodial duties including, but not limited to lifting, sweeping, disposing of waste, vacuuming, and washing windows.
- Compile, balance, and submit deposits with Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
- Assume responsibility for the Community Recreation Center in the absence of the Manager and/or Assistant Manager. Willingness to work nights and weekends.
- Assist in maintaining the on-going facility schedule for programming, classes, meetings, events, games, etc.
- Operate Front Desk and POS register according to Recreation Center procedures and policy.
- Promote Recreation Center sponsored activities and events.
- Facilitate trips of varying lengths, both in AZ and out of state.
- Open and close the Recreation Center as scheduled according to procedure.
- Assist in enforcing Recreation Center policies to the patrons.
- Adhere to all safety and risk management policies, including wearing required personal protective equipment while performing tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge and experience with Word and email programs.
- Willing to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Must possess or be able to acquire an Arizona driver’s license and comply with the Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
- Ability to acquire CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months of hire.
- Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card within first 2 weeks in the position.
- Previous recreation experience preferred.
- Knowledge and use of fitness equipment.
