Expectations from this role:

• Ensure adherence to test practises, process to improve test coverage; creating test estimates and schedules
• Identify client’s business process, conduct risk analysis and prepare risk plan
• Validate automation scripts for test specifications
• Ensure that new and revised modules or systems perform to expectation
• Publish RCA report and preventive measures
• Report progress of testing
• Quality of deliverables

Contribute revenue savings for client by suggesting alternate methodsTypical performance measures:

• Test Script Creation and Execution Productivity
• Defect Leakage Metrics
• Number of test case reuses
• Test execution Coverage
• Defect Acceptance Ratio
• Test Review efficiency
• Test rework efficiencyPerformance Areas:

Test Design, Development, Execution:

• Participate in review, walkthrough, and demo; obtain sign off by stakeholder for Test Design

Prepare Test summary Report for modules and features

Requirements Management:

• Analyse, prioritize, and identify gaps; creating workflow diagrams based on requirements/user stories

Manage Project:

• Participate in test management

Domain relevance:

• Identify business processes, conduct risk analysis and ensure test coverage

Estimate:

• Prepare estimate, schedule; identify dependencies

Knowledge Management:

• Consume, contribute, and review (best practices, lesson learned, retrospective)

Test Design, Execution:

• Test plan preparation, test case, script creation, and test execution

Test & Defect Management:

• Conduct root cause and trend analysis of the defects

Test Planning:

• Identify the test scenarios with understanding of systems, interfaces and application
• Identify end to end business critical scenarios with less support
• Create and review the test scenarios and prepare RTM

Skill Examples:

• Ability to create and manage a test plan
• Ability to prepare schedules based on estimates
• Skill in tracking and reporting progress
• Ability to identify test scenarios and prepare RTM
• Aptitude in analyzing requirements and prioritize testing
• Ability to carry out RCA
