Cimarron is seeking Embedded Software Engineers to be responsible for the software testbed, test plans/procedures, test environment, and integration of the simulation products supporting the Axiom Space Commercial Space Station project in Houston, TX.

Key Duties:

• Develop avionics test plans and procedures to be executed in the Hardware-In-the-Loop Station on a Bench (SoB) testbeds to ensure the correctness and performance of our integrated avionics and ground support equipment.
• Collaborate with avionics software engineers to integrate hardware simulation and fault injection solutions with real-time software applications.
• Support the development and evolution of a SoB testbed and its use as a verification tool that tests the electronic hardware and software integration.
• Lead the test planning and execution of the avionics SoB testbed.
• Support with the integration of flight avionics hardware, ground support equipment, and analysis tooling necessary to verify the requirements and performance of avionics units under test within the SoB testbed.
• Support the evolving design and build out of the SoB testbed with a focus on the lab infrastructure (i.e., racks, harnesses, mechanisms).
• Design, develop and implement a SoB automation infrastructure.
• Support the design and development of Special Test Equipment (STE) and integrate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to simulate and stimulate Articles Under Test (AUTs) or capture AUT output and interface performance.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
• 5 or more years of experience developing software using C/C++ in a Linux environment.
• Familiar with containerization and container orchestration supporting Continuous Deployment pipelines on Linux Systems.
• Experience with GitLab and Jenkins software tools.
• Preference for and ability to thrive as a member of a small, tightly integrated team.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or another related technical discipline.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Experience with TSN Networking (IEEE 802.1) and 1553 Communications.
• Experience GNC, Command & Data Handling, Ground/Mission Control Software, and/or Satellite Communications (C2V2, TDRS).
• Proficient in the use of standard electronic lab testing and troubleshooting equipment.
