JOB POSTING: Elementary School Program Facilitator
SALARY: $17.20/hour (full-time, hourly)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Elementary School Program Facilitators lead high quality programs for Girls Inc. participants ages 5-12 in our Holyoke Program Center and in our school-based programs throughout Holyoke, Chicopee, and Springfield. Primary responsibilities include group facilitation and group management, program development, and administrative tasks. Program themes include: STEM, art, health, sports, academic success, social-emotional wellness, leadership, and more! Sessions take place primarily during the school day and after-school hours. Some evenings and weekend hours will be required with advance notice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passion for the Girls Inc. mission
  • High School diploma or GED required; working towards or completion of a college degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience working with youth in a summer program, out-of-school environment, early childhood development, school system or a related field
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • An awareness of and commitment to social justice education, gender equity, reproductive justice, trans justice and anti-racism
  • Ability to communicate, support and work with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license. Position requires ability to drive program vans.
  • First Aid and CPR certified, or willing to attend training
  • Must be Covid vaccinated and boosted, or willing to get vaccinated before employment
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) highly desired (bonus available)
