The Lincoln Group has partnered with a client that is a global leader in the Manufacturing and Aerospace Defense Industry in search of a Sensor & Systems Technician to join their team on a direct-hire basis! This position will be responsible for Performing a variety of simple to complex tasks involving operating, testing, troubleshooting, calibrating, constructing, repairing, and assembly over a broad spectrum of technologies, utilizing manual and automatic equipment.

Type of Hire: Direct Hire

Location On-site: Baltimore, MD (relocation assistance provided)

Work Schedule: 2nd or 3rd Shift

Compensation: $33/hour

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  • Devise, develop, test, analyze and construct, or have constructed or modified, highly complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits, and systems. Plan, layout, develop, fabricate, and construct experimental and prototype devices, models, and systems working from very general and incomplete information. Perform repairs and calibrations as necessary.
  • Implement the standards contained in the “Standards of Business Conduct and Defense Industry Initiatives.” Ensure that all employees reporting to this position have been informed about the standards and related policies and enforce them within this supervised activity.
  • Determine methods and techniques for effectively monitoring various tests on complex systems. Collect, measure, record, analyze and evaluate data, experimental models, resultant data, etc. in terms of its reliability, validity, and desired function. Perform initial procedural tests on new and/or changed equipment; make modifications/calibrations as required. Record, analyze and support reporting efforts and specifications in the required format and recommend changes to achieve desired results.
  • As required, contact outside suppliers, manufacturers’ representatives, etc. about new equipment, equipment to be repaired/modified/updated, data sheets, manufacturers’ manuals, and the like to discuss and/or research applications, hazardous properties, limitations and/or other pertinent, relevant topics. Recommend the disposition and/or purchase of materials and equipment for evaluation and plant use.
  • Assist engineers in creating designs, design changes, and/or developing circuits, processes, and operations to assure they function per design specifications working from general block diagrams, rough outlines of basic circuits, oral instructions, and the like. Make necessary calculations to obtain or compare data as required.
  • Prepare process and test specifications, revision notices, and laboratory reports as required.
  • Select, set up, and operate complex and special facilities and equipment over a broad spectrum of technologies.
  • Perform integration of software and hardware through debugging, writing code, and modifying systems. Perform maintenance and integration of peripherals and networks. Write user manuals and operate computer systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of electronics principles.
  • Be capable of meeting 09 solder certification and successfully passing pre-employment skills screening.
  • Be capable of readily adapting to changing assignments and requirements.
  • A high degree of skill in the fabrication and testing of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits, and systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Graduate of two-year, full-time electronic technology school OR six months military electronics school plus two years working in the maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical equipment.
