MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Completion of a training course in electronics and two (2) years of experience in electronic equipment maintenance; or

Completion of a program of study in electronics from a vocational/technical school or college and one (1) year of experience as described above.

Requires possession of a valid Class E driver license.

JOB DUTIES:

Perform electronic and mechanical diagnosis, repair, maintenance and calibrations on automated juice testing systems (BAU) located at various citrus processing facilities throughout Central and South Florida. Perform computer, programmable logic controller (PLC) and printer hardware and software repairs, installations, updates, backups, communications and configurations. Perform electrical, mechanical and pneumatic diagnosis, repair, maintenance and calibration on juice extraction equipment throughout central and south Florida.

Administer Peanut Inspection application (EQIP) providing software setup, user and customer support and billing data collection.

Operate State Test Control Unit (Test Truck).

Manufacture simple solutions for fruit inspection and calibration of BAU.

Pickup, setup and deliver AM&E 2700 juice extractors.

Perform on-call duties as required, after normal business hours, weekends and holidays.

Clean, test, certify and re-issue inspection equipment.

Meet with plant personnel to coordinate inspection facility construction and design to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.

Oversee plant maintenance and operation of sampling equipment, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.

Assist in the training of inspection personnel on the operation of juice extractors and the BAU application.

Perform documentation of activities by completing required paperwork and entering work information into database.

Perform other related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of use of electronic testing equipment, computer skills
  • Knowledge of citrus inspection rules.
