Here is what you will be doing
  • Efficiently troubleshoot, repair, and modify PLC based control systems.
  • Must have experience with:
  • AC/DC Voltage misplacement
  • Blueprint/Schematics
  • PLC Programming
  • Siemens
  • Allen Bradley
  • ABB
  • Variance Frequency Drives
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve electrical control issues in circuits containing transformers, disconnects, over current protection devices, relays, contacts, timers, etc.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot and resolve automated controls issues using PLC programming software
  • Must be able to execute electrical and controls upgrades and repairs to equipment.
  • Collaborate with other individuals within the maintenance team as well as those outside of the maintenance department, including operations team members, coordinators, and management to ensure the overall success of the operation
  • Must have a good understanding of customer service, sense of urgency, and being available for unscheduled work such as breakdowns
  • Perform electrical service on fixed and rotating equipment and various other facility needs
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities for all facility fixed and rotating equipment.
  • Perform other necessary duties as required including mechanical work
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance to equipment
  • Run conduit, unistrut, fittings and new wiring
  • Must be able to read and have knowledge and understanding of electrical schematics and drawings
  • Must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair control systems, proximity sensors, limit switches, PLC and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of 4-20 Milliamp control systems
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of 120V control systems
  • Experience working with 3 phase electrical distribution and control systems up to 480V
Requirements of a successful Material Handling Operator
  • High School Diploma or greater
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Must have or be able to pass and obtain:
  • NCCER + Industrial Electrician V6
  • NFPA 70E
  • CPR Certificate
  • Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
Here is what we need from you
  • Must be able to distinguish between various wiring colors
  • Must be able to walk long distances, climb ladders/steps and work at elevated heights, stand, stoop and crawl, reach, bend, lift 50lbs frequently
  • Must be able to work from an aerial lift at heights up to 120 ft.
  • Team Member must be an individual that is reliable, honest, professional, with a positive can do attitude
  • Ability to work outside in any weather condition
  • Must be willing to work a rotating schedule for off shift break downs
  • Must be reasonably fit and able to work in local environment
  • Must possess basic computer skills and ability to learn Computer Maintenance Management System and company-based systems
  • Must be willing to learn new technology as adapted to the fixed equipment
  • Must work overtime, nights, weekends and holidays and to accommodate break down responsibilities as needed
