Summary of Position: :The Telecommunications Electrician is responsible for all of the electrical work required on our many cell tower projects. He/She works alongside civil construction crews to complete various civil construction work other than just electrical. This position requires travel and overnight stays out of town M-F but home on the weekends. Typically, with this position travel is project specific and required as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Installs, repairs, maintains, or replaces single phase electrical services.
- Installs 200A single phase services up to 8 gang 800A multi metering gear.
- Installs above ground, and underground single-phase (Utilities) for telco, tower, and tower lighting systems on cell sites.
- Experience using wire pulling equipment.
- Experience trouble shooting conduit run’s (i.e.: breaks or collapse in pipe)
- Experience with mini excavators to repair these issues a plus.
- Able to properly terminate/ torque to spec services.
- Drives company vehicles equipped with tools and materials to job sites.
- Performs layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications, local codes, and existing drawings.
- Responsible to obtain proper wire lengths and source materials independently.
- Adheres to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Responsible for coordinating final electrical inspections.
- Independent work with assistance of the project manager/ superintendent.
- - MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL- overnight stays out of town are required as needed.
- Occasionally work with the utility to develop alternative metering/ power solutions.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Single phase electrical license or equivalent experience
- Clean NYS diver license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel on overnight assignments.
- Experience with DC Power plants, and DC power distribution a plus.
