Job description

We are looking for an Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate must be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems; both AC and DC. The goal will be to produce and maintain well functioning electrical connections to minimize the probability of accidents and maximize usability of electricity in all facilities. Must be safety oriented, driver's license required and pass drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge of DC systems.
• Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems, such as DC power plants.
• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems on live circuits.
• Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
• Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
• Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units

Skills

3 years experience as an electrician

• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems and DC systems.
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work various hours.
• Hours are 6:00 am to 4:30 PM regularly but some OT and occasional Saturdays when needed per work load.
• We do have a few (Not many) but some sites in Columbus/Cleveland and Parkersburg WV that would constitute over night stays, Maccabee covers the hotel costs and gives the guys $45 a day cash to cover their meals. Guys will always travel to and from sites in company vehicles and crew leads will be assigned company trucks.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
