Kilgore Industries, one of the largest Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing subcontractors in the state of Texas is growing, and key to this growth is having the best team in the industry! We are looking for an experienced Electrical Superintendent for our Round Rock branch who is looking to grow with the industry leader. The Superintendent is responsible for providing on-site coordination for all phases of electrical construction projects, including coordinating employees, material, and equipment; ensuring specifications are strictly followed; and the project proceeds on schedule and within budget. In addition, the Superintendent is responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Promote positive culture and work environment
- Promote, engage in, and teach leadership development
- Schedule and supervise employees in the critical path to ensure timely completion
- Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed
- Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals
- Ensure that employees are fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions
- Identify employee’s non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution
- Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously
- Ensure employees have corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team.
- Walk all units on the project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning
- Build, execute, and update the project schedule
- Preside over weekly employee meetings designed to coordinate the work
- Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner
- Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 10 years of verifiable experience, thorough knowledge of trades.
- Experience with multifamily, warehouses, commercial, industrial projects is preferred
- Software: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project & Outlook), Bluebeam is also preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must be able to travel to the jobsite(s) as assigned.
