MentorWorks Education Capital, a workforce development company, is looking for Electric Motor Winders to join one of our employer partners. Candidates will be screened by the MentorWorks team. If selected, the candidate will move on in the process to our employment partner.

Electric Motor Winders
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions
• Measure for ad note need for replacement parts
• Correctly requisition needed items from storekeepers, as approved by the supervisor
• Illustrate and/or document all relevant data specific to the unit's electromagnetic characteristics, operating condition existing damage, or intended serviceability
• Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electro-mechanical
• Rewind various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment including, but not limited to, random wound three-phase stators, DC fields, armatures, and wound rotors
• Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding
• Test rewound electro-mechanical equipment according to Longo standards and document test results
• Prepare reusable parts for the rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden structural damage or unusual conditions

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must have a strong mechanical background or previous vibration experience
• Should be familiar with motors, pumps, fans, and gearboxes
• Have good communication skills
• Good computer skills in Word and Excel
• Some electrical/mechanical experiences
• Vibration certification is a PLUS

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
