EKG Technician

YOU AS AN EKG (ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY) TECHNICIAN:

The electrocardiographic technician works collaboratively with health care providers to provide direct and indirect care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Non-Invasive Services Department and throughout the hospital.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cardiac Testing
• Explains cardiac testing procedure to patient
• Assist with monitoring devices such as electrocardiograph machines or Holter Monitor
• Observes abnormalities and notifies physicians of test results
• Schedules appointments for cardiac testing
• Transports testing equipment to various locations in hospital
• Deliver files and monitors printouts to physicians
• Assist with miscellaneous tasks in relation to role

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of an ECG technician training course from a recognized technical/vocational school;
• OR one year experience assisting with cardiac testing procedures in a physician’s office, clinic, hospital, or similar setting;
• OR an equivalent combination of training and experience and related courses.
• BLS certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.21 - $28.15 per hour
