Job Description

As a Community Educator with Amada Senior Care, you will be a brand ambassador/sales and marketing specialist for our potential clients as well as current and potential referral sources. You will have the opportunity to meet with families in their homes to help them understand home care, differentiating Amada, and the benefits of our services.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain relationships with our top referral sources including IL/AL/MC communities, SNF/Rehab facilities, hospitals, and financial representatives.
  • Develop new connections with potential sources such as Executive Directors, Case Managers, Discharge Planners, Fiduciaries, Long Term Care Insurance Brokers, VA, etc.
  • Field Client Inquiries that come to you directly or into the office from referral sources, including our website, lead generation partners, and the Department of Veteran's Affairs.
  • Complete new client intakes in their home, assessing their needs, explaining Amada services, and developing a schedule with a Plan of Care. Input those clients and build schedules in AxisCare.
  • Attend Marketing Events directed toward the Senior Community.
  • Develop and maintain a social media presence on company profiles.

  • Highly self-motivated, outgoing individual with a desire to exceed performance goals
  • Excellence in verbal and written communication
  • Passionate about helping our Birmingham Community age gracefully
  • Organized and able to prioritize workflow to achieve performance goals
  • Knowledge of the senior care industry
  • Familiarity with Jefferson and Shelby County geographics and referral base
  • Willingness and capacity to learn new things
  • Ability to retain a wealth of information
  • Must communicate well with other members of the Amada Team
  • Technical aptitude for software programs such as MS Office, learning AxisCare
  • Effective email communication
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Ability to overcome objections
  • Attention to detail
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • No traditional on-call but must be available by phone outside of business hours for new client inquiries and occasional intakes
  • Experience in Home Health/Hospice/Senior Care sales a major plus

Compensation

  • Base salary plus commission based on sales performance with no cap
  • Additional commission for LTCI client retention
