We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Economic Benefits Technician at our Somerset facility, to join this hard working team and assist in making a difference!

Positions may be filled at multiple locations

Primary responsibilities include:
Assisting with interviewing clients and troubleshooting problem areas
Researching cases in NC FAST and On Base and referring clients to the Eligibility Caseworker on duty for Family & Children Medicaid, or Food & Nutrition Services Programs
Submitting re-certifications into NC FAST
Answering general questions in person, via phone, or email
Helping clients complete applications if needed
Making referrals to appropriate resources
Scanning documents and routing electronic faxes to clients in OnBase

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
High school diploma or GED
One year of experience in human services
Equivalent education and experience are accepted
Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
NCFAST and OnBase experience
One (1) year of experience in a Health and Human Services program
How Will We Know You're 'The One'?
Knowledge of and/or ability to learn Economic Benefit Programs
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel
The ability to listen, react, and respond appropriately to others, and professionally assist emotional clientele

Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:15 pm

Hiring Range: $17.17 - $23.17 commensurate with experience
