Unit description: Perform echocardiogram studies with good quality and accuracy, following ICAEL standards. Ability to obtain good quality measurements for the physician and the ability to recognize life threatening problems and alert the physician.
Schedule: The schedule is four 10 hours shifts per week that rotate depending on who's weekend it is to cover. Call is Monday to Sunday and only has to come in for stat echos which is maybe 1 per month. Weekends are definitely required. We try to do the schedule a month at a time so they will know what their work days are for the month.
