Early Head Start Family Educator - Head Start
Job description
Head Start is hiring a full-time Early Head Start Family Educator to work in Northern Cambria County. The Family Educator specializes in developing and maintaining Home-Based Educational Programs between the Early Head Start Program and parents of Early Head Start participants. The Family Educator is responsible for providing weekly home visits to pregnant women and parents of infants and toddlers, and facilitating socializations twice a month for each child and family. Responsibilities include preparation or development and administration of:
- Agency Early Childhood policies and procedures
- Agency Family Partnership Agreements
- Marketing services on behalf of Early Head Start, Head Start, Head Start Supplemental Assistance, and Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts Programs
Candidates must possess an Infant/Toddler CDA (or be willing to obtain within 180 days from date of hire), equivalent coursework or an Associate's Degree in ECE or related field. Current PA Driver's License, clearances and physical/TB test also required.
Pay Rate: $13.56/hour
