LOCATION: Green Bay

STANDARD HOURS: 37.5 Hours per week; Typical hours Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours, as necessary.

PAY RANGE: $18.61 - $20.68 per hour

  • Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Technical Specialist, Early College (Technical Specialist) provides technical support and data collection, analysis, and reporting related to Early College programming. They are responsible for creating the transcribed/transcripted credit courses and managing enrollment rosters. The Technical Specialist works collaboratively with K-12 partners, internal parties, and other educational entities to ensure accurate and timely information is provided in the form of data reports, course rosters, program proposals, Early College contracts, and so on.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Provide technical support and data reporting related to Early College processes to the Early College team, other Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) staff, K-12 partners, and other external parties.
  • Be the primary contact regarding technical issues involving Early College.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant, Early College to ensure the correct transcribed/transcripted credit instructors have access to the learning management system.
  • Compose, edit, and disseminate K-12 documents such reports, rosters, proposals, contracts, website content, and Early College publications, etc.
  • Provide support with Early College events (e.g., Summit).
  • Create and manage K-12 related reports and data to include extracting, tracking, and sharing necessary data with K-12, NWTC internal faculty/staff and external entities such as the state.
  • Create and configure high school transcribed credit classes along with managing and editing high school rosters.
  • Navigate student information systems, learning management systems, and other technology-based platforms to capture necessary enrollment, grading, term activation, program/plan process for K12 related events, training, meetings, and activities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to establish, maintain, and improve K-12 processes.
  • Perform analysis and monitoring of K-12 budget and communicate effectively with Finance and Learning Leadership on the available funds for K-12 use.
  • Work with K-12 team to research, plan, and implement new technology to support K-12 Initiatives.
  • Research and recommend workflow improvements related to student information systems (e.g., Workday), learning management systems (e.g., Canvas), customer relations management software (e.g., Salesforce), and other technology-based software.
  • Maintain a database capturing all transcribed credit class enrollments and grades. Create reports evaluating and assessing the data for publications, department, and marketing materials, etc.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Associate’s Degree in Business Management or Communications.
Experience: Two years related work experience required. Candidate must possess good communication skills, organization skills, data base management, data analysis capabilities. Ability to problem solve and critically analyze information, and work independently to meet customer needs. Experience working with secondary and post-secondary schools is a plus.

Computer Skills

Travel is required of this position. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s standard insurance policy terms.
