The World Bank Group's (WBG) Internal Justice Services (IJS) provides a multi-access, comprehensive system through which WBG staff can address work-related concerns and grievances. The Ombuds Services administers the Respectful Workplace Advisors (RWA) Program.

The Respectful Workplace Advisors Program is seeking a process improvement expert to modernize workflow and improve efficiencies. Depending on the business needs of the RWA program, the responsibilities of the ETC will include a wide range of activities to support the RWA elections and training processes, conducting research, analysis, program development for the RWA program and, if needed, for the Ombuds Services

Roles and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the RWA Program Officer and Ombuds and the overall guidance of the Ombuds, activities may include:

  • Identify needed process improvements across the program and implement tools and procedures to create optimal efficiencies (RWA nominations & selection, case management database, tracking of RWAs, monitoring and evaluation, coaching activities, virtual training program etc.)
  • Ensure the implementation of reliable systems, processes, and procedures to collect and analyze information and data.
  • Seek out opportunities for continuous quality improvement in program activities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a database for program management
  • Analyzing data for tracking systemic issues.
  • Analyzing case data and providing write-ups as needed for internal (briefs) and external (Annual Report) communications Drafting/editing documents including briefings and reports;
  • Supporting the RWA Program as assigned in a thorough and timely manner, meeting appropriate deadlines.
  • Collaborating in the day-to-day activities of the RWA, OMB & IJS and performing any other tasks necessary for the successful operation of RWA, OMB & IJS Programs, as per the direction of the Ombuds.

Selection Criteria

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Project management, Business analytics, Data science, Data management or related field with a Concentration in the areas of Technical process improvement, Business process development or organizational development. An understanding of Conflict Resolution is a plus.
  • 5 years of relevant experience with project management and continuous quality improvement as team lead.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering program efficiencies.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills and demonstrated experience with managing databases (including big data) with understanding of modern statistical analysis. Ability to utilize charts, graphs, and other presentation techniques to communicate data and concepts simply.
  • Thorough knowledge and use of all relevant computer software.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills in English; fluency in other working languages of WBG is desirable.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels; proven ability to work with confidential matters, work sensitivity in multicultural environments, and possess and reputation for integrity, sound judgment, fairness and discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and perform pro-actively in contributing to the needs of the Program.
