DSP Job Summary -

This role requires a high level of Empathy, Integrity, Problem Solving and Sound Judgement. This position often requires a Direct Support Professional to work one-on-one with a client in their own home or in the community. DSP’s must be trusted to work independently and work well with others when in a team setting. Sometimes the client might want to go to the movies or out to eat and the DSP will get paid to do that while on the clock.

Under the direction of our management teams, the Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides hands-on instruction, assistance, and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities in a manner that ensures their health, safety, successful achievement of service objectives, and personal goals which are outlined in their care plans.

Requirements and Qualifications: Adult Program

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Have High School Diploma or GED
• Have valid Washington State Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and Vehicle to use for job
• 1st Aid and CPR certification (Not required pre-employment - training is available through agency after hire)
• Must possess a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a DDA required BCCU Criminal Background Check
• Able to read, write, and comprehend English well enough to read and document in client records according to WA state law
• Able to lift 50 pounds unaided
• Must be willing to work one day on the weekend

Requirements and Qualifications: Children's Program

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Have Proof of High School Diploma or GED
• Have valid Washington State Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and Vehicle to use for job
• 1st Aid and CPR certification (Not required pre-employment - training is available through agency after hire)
• Must possess a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a DDA required BCS Criminal Background Check
• Able to read, write, and comprehend English well enough to read and document in client records according to WA state law
• Able to lift 50 pounds unaided
• Must be willing to work one day on the weekend
• Proof of Negative TB Test
• Food Handler’s Card

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.50 - $20.75 per hour
