The State-Operated Living Alternatives (SOLA) within the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) is looking to hire a highly motivated Residential Services Coordinator to work at our Tumwater office. In this role, you'll be a shift charge and take lead in providing care for children with Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities who may exhibit challenging behaviors.
In this role you will help coordinate the 24 hour, 7 day per week services that Attendant Counselors provide including hiring and scheduling of these direct care staff. You will also assist with Incident investigations and ensure compliance with WAC, federal regulations, DDA policies, and SOLA standard operating procedures by observing SOLA participants and AC staff.

Some of what you'll do:


  • Determine staffing needs for each home and schedule accordingly
  • Review staff requests for leave and advise staff of availability
  • Schedule and monitor to ensure completion of Continuing Education and trainings
  • Complete time and attendance records
  • Perform on-call duties and stand-by duties
  • Respond to emergent staffing needs; answer program and staffing questions
  • Use the department's purchasing and payment system for ordering, purchasing and payment of supplies
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Input staff travel information
  • Assist and train SOLA participants in all areas of Activities of Daily Living and personal care
Who should apply?
Professionals with a high school graduation or GED and successful completion of thirty specific job related college quarter credit hours* and three years of experience working with clients with intellectual disabilities.
OR
High school graduation or GED and three years of experience as an Attendant Counselor 1, equivalent or high level class.

  • College credits:
  • 5 credit hours in a 100 or higher level English Composition class
  • 25 credit hours in 100 or higher level class in any of the following disciplines of which only 5 credits can be in Computer Science or math: Psychology, Education, Human Services, Computer Science, Math
