Cambria County Drug & Alcohol Program is seeking a D&A Case Management Supervisor to assign, supervise and evaluate the work of agency case management staff.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

An employee in this class is responsible for supervising drug and alcohol case managers in their efforts to ensure that clients with alcohol and other drug problems have access to services in a continuum of care by their identifying, referring and authorizing appropriate services. Employees in this class oversee the assessment of client needs, the determination of level of care, the development of client service plans and the facilitation by the staff of the client's treatment to address their problems relative to alcohol and other drug usage. Supervisory responsibility is carried out in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures with employees expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the supervision and direction of case managers.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Two years as a Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist; or
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Nursing or a related field; and three years direct service experience performing counseling or case management work in alcohol or other drug treatment setting; or
  • A Bachelor's Degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 18 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, criminal justice or other related social sciences; and three years direct service experience performing counseling or case management work in alcohol or other drug treatment setting; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Cambria County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cambria County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
