Dallas based Summit Trucking is seeking a full time Driver Recruiter. Recruiters perform a critical role in the growing of Summit’s driving fleet of safe, service oriented, driving professionals. As a recruiter you will pro-actively recruit, screen, and take part in the hiring of qualified drivers for Summit Trucking in approved geographic regions and in accordance with company guidelines, DOT regulations and Federal and State Employment Laws.
Job Description:
- Interview Driver Candidates
- Set up pre-employment drug screens
- Perform Pre-employment background checks, process motor vehicle reports
- Perform Driver Orientations
- Work closely with Safety Department to ensure candidates are DOT qualified and meets company standards
Requirements:
- Minimum two years’ experience in transportation
- Good phone voice and personality
- Knowledge of DOT, state and federal regulations and recruiting
- Familiar with concepts, practices, and procedures within the transportation industry
