Job description

We are hiring a Driver for our 2023 season. We are open from April 1 to Nov 1. Orientation is 3/30/23.

Some on site dorm housing/shared with a roommate if needed.

Position Summary

The Driver transports employees in a comfortable, safe and timely manner as well as picking up and transporting retail products to the inn.

Major Responsibilities

• Transporting employees and/or packages to and from destinations
• Using a navigation system to map the best route
• Loading parcels into vehicle and unloading them at delivery destination
• Arrive at destinations on schedule
• Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
• Report and arrange for vehicle repairs as needed
• Keep mileage records and repair records up to date
• Turn in fuel receipts
• Recommend changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency

Requirements

· A valid driver’s license and clean driving record

· Minimum 5 year driving experience required

· Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find pick up and drop off locations.

· Time management and organizational skills to stay on schedule

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to speak with vendors and employees

· Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

· Ability to interact positively with supervisor, management, coworkers, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach.

· Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner, which is accurate, complete, and of high quality.

· Ability to come to work regularly and on time, to follow directions, be open to constructive feedback, to get along with co-workers and supervisors, to treat co-workers, supervisors and guests with respect and courtesy, and to refrain from abusive, insubordinate and/or violent behavior.

Physical Requirements

· Physical stamina and good upper body strength to lift packages and objects, as well as be able to load and unload them from vehicle.

· Must be able to bend down, squat, lift and move and handle up to 50 pounds for daily tasks.

· Must be able to sit/drive for long periods of the day.

· Must be able to climb and descend stairs.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
