Job Summary

Perform/Develop drafting and project documentation tasks. Provides guidance to junior drafters/drafters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creates drawings from the ideas of clients and engineers.
• Prepare AutoCAD based drawings.
• Prepare Advance Bill of Materials.
• Prepare bid material take offs and weights and may assist in coordination of the take-offs.
• Perform simple engineering calculations.
• Understand and interpret contract specifications when requested by Section Head or lead engineer.
• Perform interference checks.
• Perform rig site checks and be able to resolve rig site problems.
• Liaise with the other engineering sections on drafting issues.
• Offer improvements and solutions to work methods and procedures.
• Organize and document drawing relevant information.
• Guide and assist in the training of junior drafters/drafters

Experience & Knowledge Required

• Minimum of 5 years in a marine offshore drafter position.
• Knowledge of class regulatory requirements
• Experience utilizing AutoCAD 2D.
• Possess knowledge of basic marine systems

Skill & Abilities Required

Proficient in MS Office: (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Planning and Organizational Operations Analysis Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Multitasking Communication Skills AutoCAD Skills Communication Coordination Critical Thinking Teamwork Problem Solving
