Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; OR Four years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing procedures in compliance with laws and statutes.
  • Experience planning workloads, workflows, deadlines, work objectives, and time management with employees.
  • Experience in team leadership, including using interpersonal skills to positively motivate and/or offer constructive criticism to employees, and training employees in job performance.
  • Experience preparing and interpreting reports or statistical data.

Preferences:


Previous employment with the Florida Division of Elections or a Florida Supervisor of

Elections office, specifically in a supervisory role or working with voter registration and/or list maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages the administrative and operational activities of the Voter Services Section relating to the processing and mailing of incoming voter registration applications, in and out-of-state cancellations, duplicate registrations, hotline and online voter registration assistance, and HSMV verifications, Death matches and likewise performs these activities.

Reviews the work of subordinates for accuracy, professional judgment, and treatment of unusual or complex problems.

Conducts special studies, inquiries, and investigations and recommends action.

Confers with management on complex studies or recommendations. Confers with the Special Programs Section supervisor on administrative and operational activities and serves as backup in his or her absence.

Interacts with Supervisors of Elections, staff, other agencies, and the general public.

Performs other work related duties as required.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
  • Researching, analyzing, and evaluating information.
  • Experience reading, interpreting and applying state and/or federal laws and rules.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
