Enlivant is seeking a Divisional Life Enrichment and Memory Care Specialist

SUMMARY: The Divisional Life Enrichment and Memory Care Specialist role is a newly created, hands-on position that is responsible for the delivery of a quality enrichment program at assigned communities. This role requires the ability to travel to communities within the Division to provide functional support. The Specialist may need to temporarily fill-in as the Life Enrichment Coordinator when there is a vacancy within the Division.

This position will also require quality assurance or coaching visits as well as virtual check-ins with Life Enrichment Coordinators to ensure that Enlivant’s program expectations are being met. The Specialist plays a key role in supporting the hiring, on-boarding, and training of new Life Enrichment team members.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ability to assess and identify opportunities for program improvement and develop action plans.
  • Act as a role model for Life Enrichment Team by leading a quality enrichment program when required.
  • Be a resource to the Divisional Director of Care Services and VP of Operations by providing functional support as requested.
  • Coach Life Enrichment team to utilize all available resources, i.e: Activity Connection; Amazon; Loomly; Quantum and iPad
  • Identify and share Best Practices within and outside the Division
  • Attend weekly Divisional Life Enrichment Team meetings
  • Partner with Executive Directors and Regional Teams to hold Coordinators accountable for enrichment program initiatives
  • Prepare an agenda and presentation materials to lead productive monthly team calls
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Develop innovative practices in the Life Enrichment and Memory Care space while ensuring all regulatory guidelines and followed
  • Analyze key performance indicators to ensure consistency in delivery of life enrichment and memory care standards, programming and services; build and execute strategies around areas to optimize
  • Recommend selection, provide training, and coaching of Memory Care Managers and Life Enrichment Coordinators
  • Continually evaluate effectiveness of programming through site visits, scorecards, audits, resident satisfaction scores and demonstrate the ability to implement changes as necessary

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of prior experience leading group activities
  • Successful completion of CARES dementia courses or comparable dementia training
  • Demonstrated individual and/or group training experience
  • Experience incorporating technology into programs (iPad, virtual learning, social networking, video technology)
  • Previous experience working with volunteers or volunteer programs is a plus
  • Fluency with computer programs such as Outlook, Excel, and MS Word
  • Ability to travel (up to 80%)
