Job Summary:

The Dispatcher is primary contact for all customer field deliveries and returns. The Dispatcher organizes daily shipping activities utilizing approved freight carriers. Working closely with the Shipping Manager the Dispatcher ensures that loads are staged, double checked, and loaded out to maximize outbound trucking. The Dispatcher helps gathers and reconciles all shipping documents for accuracy prior to sending documents to Accounts Receivable.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides the Shipping Manager with detailed daily schedules that pertain to outbound customer loads.
• Makes and takes calls to and from the field superintendents and schedules deliveries and returns.
• Generates Pick lists for staging.
• Generates Load Tickets for deliveries.
• Reconciles all signature requirements.
• Double checks staged loads.
• Monitors weather events for re-scheduling.
• Notifies Office staff of changes in shipping plans.
• Dispatches the MPP Runner.
• Clears lobby of package deliveries.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Forklift Experience
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
• Excellent organizational and scheduling skills.
• Excellent communication and follow up skills
• Diligence and attention to details
• Document accuracy and timely handoffs.
• Ability to self-direct and react to real time changing schedules.
• Must possess the ability to solve problems for the customer.
• Maximizes load weights for efficiencies.
• Must have dispatched $30 million in revenues annually.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Education and Experience:

• Previous dispatch experience required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Titan software training will be provided.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 20 lbs
• Stand, stoop, crouch, bend and climb to review product on trucks
• Basic Computer skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
