The Director/Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying capabilities to meet these challenges.

As MISO’s Director/Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will take a practical, value-added approach to supporting the business, as the leader of a customer-centric business partner organization. You will provide technology leadership through engagement and collaboration with stakeholders, bringing tools, methodologies, and direction necessary to achieve business results. Leverage teams and team members for successful collaboration knowing this work contributes to MISO’s mission of keeping the lights on for 42 million people!

The Director/Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture leads, coordinates and considers all aspects of the EA program, including those embedded within project teams, such as business architecture, information architecture, solutions architecture, security architecture and technology architecture. Key alignment with the portfolio/product teams is critical, and success in this role will be a function of the portfolio’s success in meeting the portfolio strategic outcomes. This role, and the architecture team, will also partner closely with the systems engineering and software engineering teams to design and develop solutions that meet the portfolio’s needs.

To be successful in this Enterprise Architecture role, we’re looking for the following skills/experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system engineering or a related field of study, or 10+ years of equivalent work experience, required.
• 10+ years of technical experience in architecture, engineering, or IT. A combination of experience in all 3 areas would be ideal.
• Background/experience with EA concepts with the capability to lead architects and align architecture capabilities to business needs
• Experience evaluating and managing employee performance, employee training, and employee development plans (strong leadership, management and team building skills)
• Experience developing and deploying practical architecture capabilities focused on the needs and readiness level of the customer
• Familiarity with energy management systems, energy market systems or the energy industry is a plus

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
