Director Perioperative Services

Our client offers 80+ beds, a brand new hospital, state-of-the-art maternity and medical/surgical services, combining patient-centered care and family convenience with the safety and security of a licensed and accredited acute care hospital. They are part of the top ten health systems in the country and offer unlimited growth potential!

They have an immediate opening for a strong leader for their 7 OR Surgical Services unit with approximately 80 FTEs through all of the ancillary departments.

Provides administrative and clinical leadership for all aspects of the Perioperative Services. Establishes and implements goals, standards and practices that guide and support patient care initiatives while ensuring the delivery of high-value quality care and exceptional care experiences. Develops and fosters a solid partnership with physicians, medical staff and Sutter Health leaders, care teams and other employees to facilitate and collaborate on initiatives, to resolve operational challenges and/or to improve processes. Works with senior leadership to develop and establish short- and long-term strategic plans that complement system, operating unit or affiliate goals and initiatives, including business, operations, and/or organizational priorities.

EDUCATION:

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • RN Registered Nurse of California

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

  • 6 years experience in clinical/healthcare management and/or relevant operations, preferably in a large hospital or hospital system.
  • 6 years experience in professional discipline with increasing responsibilities.
  • 6 years experience of budgeting and fiscal management.
  • 6 years experience working physicians and medical staff leadership, preferably in a large healthcare environment.
  • 6 years experience in survey protocols on a department and organizational level (Joint Commission, State, etc).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $225,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
