In this role, the successful candidate will manage day-to-day activities of the commercial and channel- management for the non-governed channel through the On-Premise Committee; incorporate strategic and policy development aspects that will have impact on the operations; accountable for developing and implementing On-Premise Committee process, routines, and alignment. The role will support the System Alignment Team with a primary focus on On-Premise channel and provide critical leadership to bring the network organization to life and specifically responsible to build competitive advantage.


POSITION PURPOSE:

  • Provide leadership for a non-governed channel to gain common commercial approach with Bottling Partners Chief/SVP On Premise Leads and North America Operating Unit (NAOU) Foodservice & On-Premise (FSOP) Leaders

  • Alignment of National Customer Bottle/Can and Fountain plans and negotiations to ensure consistency across the system to key customers they represent

  • Manage LMP and B/C FSOP commercial needs with NAOU FSOP and Franchise Team and connect with Bottlers for alignment

  • Assist with Bottler owned Freestyle program and Cold Drink Equipment (CDE) strategy

  • Connects the annual channel and customer planning process for Bottling Partners and NAOU FSOP including providing overarching direction on key strategic commercialization opportunities and delivering scalable solutions through committee and work teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

On Premise Committee:

  • Owner of On-Premise Committee routine providing clear, concise, proactive, and timely communication from agenda, briefs, pre-reads, outputs from sessions and action items

  • Provide/facilitate feedback loop to channel and commercial teams to ensure translation and successful commercialization of brand strategies into channel/customer-oriented initiatives and pilots

  • Collaborates with channel, customer, and equipment teams to develop scalable On-Premise solutions to commercialize strategic brand initiatives. Defines and quantifies Sources of Growth for each initiative and link to annual Bottler Planning process.

  • Passionate advocate within the system for Bottling Partners, NAOU, and Customers

  • Responsible for negotiation and resolving governance agreements and manages governance routines

  • Ensure Best Practices are captured and brought to committee for sharing across the network

  • Assist with ARTM alignment and processes for contracts and agreements through this committee

  • Collaborate with Customer Agreement Team (CAT) for approval of customer deals

Annual FSOP Channel Planning:

  • Provide leadership for a non-governed channel to gain common commercial approach with Bottling Partners Chief/SVP On Premise Leads and NAOU FSOP Leaders for annual plans

  • Alignment of National Customer Bottle/Can and Fountain plans and negotiations to ensure consistency across the system to key customers that represents with NAOU planning process

  • Support CPAT process with Bottler Commitment

  • Assist in the stewardship of the annual Bottler planning process with Franchise Team, including conducting key planning sessions and assisting with development of short- and long-term plans and funding to support portfolio and growth targets and net outlet growth

  • Assists with translating channel plans into customer plans with commercial team and bring to On-Premise committee for feedback and alignment

  • Continually enhancing the value the On-Premise Committee can bring across the business.

Stewardship:

  • Work with Commercial/RGM/Franchise to align on the monthly scorecard for routines

  • Steward performance with Integrated Execution Managers monthly to identify gaps and opportunities.

  • Steward product/program sell-in info from customer teams

  • Responsible for ensuring execution of national agreements and RGM pricing for overall program compliance

  • Align with Franchise and Commercial LMP team to ensure stewardship of local marketing funds support growth

  • Connect with Commercial Capabilities to ensure stewarding NAOU On-Premise capabilities to Bottling Partners and System

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent Negotiation skills with the ability to listen and understand other points of view

  • Demonstrate passion for selling, negotiating, relationship building in an entrepreneurial environment.

  • Understanding of commercial, customer, and operations for North America System including channel, brand, supply chain, and financial plans to utilize this knowledge to drive sales.

  • Appreciation and understanding of the Coca-Cola system including Bottling Partners, Governance/Contracts, and Customers and being well-respected and networked

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management or similar degree field

  • 10 years of broad System experience – ability to draw insights and take action

  • Proven operational and brand experience

  • Strong commercial planning skills

  • Strong program and project management experience

  • Strong change management capabilities

  • Successful strategic thinking Acumen – positioning, role, occasions

  • Effectively communicates, collaborates, and builds relationships at all organizational levels

Base Salary: $162,200 to $191,100

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, are offered.
