Assistant IT Director/Coordinator of Educational Technology

Bishop O’Connell is seeking an Assistant IT Director/Coordinator of Educational Technology. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in educational technology and a successful history of managing staff and working with teachers. Ideal candidates will have personal classroom teaching experience and experience in adult training and education. Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversees the school LMS (Canvas)
• Oversees the school SIS (Powerschool)
• Oversees Google Workspace Admin
• Builds training materials for faculty
• Collaborates with the Director of Faculty Formation and Curriculum Development to coordinate faculty training and professional development
• Leads a tech team of teacher representatives from each academic department
• Oversees the school’s video production studio and program
• Coordinate the morning announcements broadcast in conjunction with the SCA student council executive board, video production students, and video production teacher
• Plans and coordinates training on educational apps including (Google Workspace, Adobe, Turnitin, Screencastify, Flipgrip, Edpuzzle and more)
• Stays abreast of app release notes
• Builds weekly tech tip emails with video tutorials
• Collaborates with the Data and Applications Manager and the Studies Office with Grade Sync to the SIS (Powerschool)
• Collaborates with the Director of IT on implementation of apps across the school network
• Attends academic council meetings
• Prepares and implements faculty and student welcome week tech trainings in coordination with Dean of Mission
• On-going student and faculty training
• Utilize survey data from faculty related to school apps

Additional school responsibilities:

• Teaches tech related courses to include courses such as Personal Branding/Digital Tech and AV Production when needed
• Occasional troubleshooting of technical issues in the theater and classrooms
• Assists with tech support for assemblies depending on need

• ISTE Certified Educator
• Google Certified Coach

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
