Community Care Network is hiring for the position of Director of Substance Use Disorders.

Community Care Network is comprised of Rutland Mental Health Services and Rutland Community Programs. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of our communities, individuals and families through responsive, innovative and collaborative human services.

About the Role:

The Director of Substance Use is responsible for the supervision of staff within those departments as well as the development and operation of Substance Use Programs.

Substance Use will have a new location at 98 Allen Street coming this April!

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain clinical programming that supports a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership for all program staff and serve as a model for recovery and wellness through daily staff interactions, trainings and supervision
  • Participates in community relations, education and development activities to drive and maintain census.
  • Developing and overseeing program budget.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Licensed LADC in the State of Vermont required.
  • Masters’ Degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years prior experience with substance use.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience required
  • General understanding and openness to Harm Reduction and Wellness and Recovery Principles of treating dually diagnosed patients.
  • Familiar with standards required by Board of Health, OSHA, and the application of such requirements.
  • Knowledge and compliance with HIPAA policy and procedures.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont. The home office is in Rutland, Vermont and occasional travel to the Middlebury, Vermont office is required.
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire.
