What’s the Opportunity?

Anchor QEA is looking for a Director of Quality Assurance and Quality Control to take our existing Quality Program to the next level. We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to providing outstanding client service, both internal and external, by providing improvements to and going management of our Quality Program. This position reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer at Anchor QEA.


Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility for development and implementation of Anchor QEA Quality Program
    • Maintains QC/QC tools including SharePoint site and QA/QC documents (e.g. Corporate Quality Management Plans)
    • Coordinates with Practice Area Leads to ensure Practice-Area-specific quality tools and policies are maintained, updated, and implemented
    • Coordinates with Business Development on marketing AQ Quality Program
    • Ensures that engineering documents are sealed using methods and standards that are compliant with jurisdictional requirements, working with Engineering Practice Lead
    • Works with CAO to ensure Corporate document retention and electronic file system organization policies are adhered to and updated as appropriate
    • Identifies and implements QA/QC “special projects” that support AQ strategy and vision
  • Primary responsibility to work with COO and HR for Quality Program training
    • Orients new employees to AQ Quality Program
    • Works with HR to develop and implement company-wide QA/QC training
  • Primary responsibility to Implement internal quality audits, with assistance of quality team/committee and ad hoc audit team members, as appropriate
    • Conducts surveys to monitor QA/QC program effectiveness
    • Recommends and implements improvements when appropriate
  • Conducts QA/QC “near miss” tracking and reporting Assists COO and Project Managers with addressing client concerns regarding QA/QC issues
  • Assist CAO with development of risk management best practices

What Are We Looking For?

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • Good understanding of AQ services
  • Strong background in environmental engineering, planning and/or science
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with industry QA/QC standards
  • Certified Quality Assurance Professional (CQAP), Certified Quality Manager/Auditor (CQM/A) or similar certification preferred

Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:
