Job Description

globaledit is looking for a passionate Director of Product to join, support, and work alongside our Product team for its B2B platform.

As Director of Product, you are the driving force behind globaledit’s product design and development efforts, directing a culture of turning insight into action that leads to a positive impact on the business.

You are responsible for product vision, team development, product culture, roadmap, and execution. You guide the product and design teams to investigate, plan, design, build, launch and iterate on tools and features that globaledit’s users love, and thereby helping the sales teams achieve their goals! You closely partner with the engineering team to deliver on the product roadmap.

You lead by example and aren’t afraid to jump into the weeds with your team. You will partner with the engineering team to deliver best-in-class experiences for our users while driving growth and measurable business outcomes for globaledit. You are responsible for maintaining a high level of standards amongst the product team and display exemplary communication skills by ensuring that all stakeholders are constantly informed.

In this role you will:

  • Work with CEO to build, manage, and execute globaledit’s product roadmap in alignment with the company’s plans for growth
  • Define what success looks like, uncover the key business opportunities, ruthlessly prioritize and deliver product solutions that drive measurable impacts for both our users and globaledit
  • Write clear and concise functional and technical project specs to be used throughout the entire product lifecycle
  • Create consistent, well-defined expectations and accountability for all implementation teams
  • Distribute product knowledge and ability to every team in the company. Building great products is everyone’s job.
  • Manage parallel initiatives throughout the product life-cycle including discovery, build, launch, and the ongoing iteration and validation of product features
  • Lead product design and engineering teams to prototype, test, launch, and iterate quickly
  • Define & identify market opportunities, including competitive analysis and definition of product functionality that drives the commercialization of platform features
  • Conduct ongoing learning via research and data gathering; performing customer interviews, user testing, and data analysis
  • Work with client success and sales teams to gain deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share
  • Engage and facilitate communication with key stakeholders across business lines; account management, sales, client success, and globaledit customers
  • Operate at contextual extremes, from long range vision setting to in-the-weeds product work. We are a small product team that expects every member to “get their hands dirty.”
  • Eventually, build a team of exceptional product managers, and ensure product teams and their interfaces to partner teams are structured for efficacy.
  • Delivering a great product requires a lot of “non-product” product work, and the person in this role should expect to assume responsibility for many of them. This may include partnerships, operations, go-to-market strategy, etc.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years, managing technically complex products in a B2B/B2C SAAS environment
  • Proven success in driving initiatives across the product lifecycle from inception through to launch with measurable results
  • Proven track record of providing new and innovative solutions to enhance product lines
  • Ability to learn the business and perform competitive analysis to identify opportunities
  • Skilled at performing ROI analysis on new ideas and product features
  • Strong experience and knowledge of agile methodologies and tools - including Confluence, Jira, working in a Lean/Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Technical acumen, ability to swiftly synthesize and understand technical requirements and intelligence from multiple sources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and bring others along with your thinking
  • A collaborative and inclusive approach that values diverse perspectives and helps uncover and address questions and assumptions
  • Adaptive and flexible, ability to work well under pressure and collaboratively within a dynamic and fluid environment
  • Entrepreneurial/self-starter; strategic mindset, able to rally others around your vision with a strong bias for action
  • High-energy, self-starter that work with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; using data and metrics to back up your assumptions, rationale and decision-making
  • Thrives in an agile environment (including spring planning)—delivering strategies via incremental releases
  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, philosophy, economics, computer science, technology management, or related field
  • Startup experience, a plus
