Position Summary

The People Operations Leader is a newly created role that is responsible for establishing a Human Resources (HR) shared services model that serves our employees nationwide. As our network of schools grows, it becomes increasingly important to transform and develop an HR model that can scale and enable the growth. This role is responsible for that functional transformation across the HR function, which includes ownership and optimization of HR systems, driving increased utilization of self-service, leading a team of Operations Specialists to centralize and continuously improve HR administrative work and developing standard HR reports that measure the effectiveness of HR. This role reports directly to the Chief People Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR and other organizational leaders to identify opportunities to continuously improve the operating model and structure.
  • Lead the HR Systems Team to evaluate current state of HR systems and potentially implement new systems that simplify work and enable growth.
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of current self-service capabilities and develop a roadmap to broaden self-service and increase utilization.
  • Develop and deliver reports and scorecards that inform decision making and identify opportunities for change across the organization.
  • Partner with HR Generalist and Talent teams to document all processes, communicate the processes to stakeholders and build a user-friendly library of process documentation.
  • Identify, optimize and transition administrative HR work to People Operations Team.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and cross-train the People Operations Team to ensure no service interruptions.
  • Develop a team culture of exceptional customer service and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in business or related field.
  • 2+ years of Human Resources shared services experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Background/Clearance Requirements: fingerprint clearance and background check.

Physical Requirements: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching.
