Hunter Ambrose International | Recruiting for a Director of Pediatric Hospice Services

Our client is a Joint Commission-accredited, non-profit hospice in Fresno, California. With a 40-year history of excellence, the organization is quickly growing to meet the needs of patients and their families.

About the position-

  • Reports to the Chief Clinical Officer
  • 5 FTE's reporting, including a combination of RN, LVN, and Hospice Aide team members
  • The majority of pediatric patients are in skilled nursing services pediatric patients birth to 21 years of age
  • The Clinical Manager is responsible for the day-to-day triage of the Team activities of accepting referrals, assuring timely admissions, assigning patients to the appropriate team members, and monitoring patient care as ordered on the interdisciplinary plan of care
  • Conducts the IDT meetings and supervises and supports clinical staff through evaluation and field supervisory visits, and assures ongoing development of the team's clinical skills
  • The Clinical Manager will ensure quality care and compliance with state and federal regulations, CHAP accreditation standards, and the organization’s policies and procedure

Preferred candidate qualifications:

  • BSN required (or the ability to complete within 12 months)
  • 2+ years of pediatric nursing experience
  • Hospice experience preferred
  • 2+ years of RN Management experience, preferably in a pediatric or hospice capacity
  • Experience developing new skills by participating in ongoing education and maintaining knowledge of current nursing practice through journals, literature reviews, etc.
  • Experience participating in quality improvement activities

Compensation:

  • The salary range is up 140k with a sign on bonus

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
