General Requirements

Under limited supervision, performs managerial work in directing daily operations and activities of the Facility Operations Division and its assigned departments. Work involves performing long term planning, directing engineering projects, and working with executive staff to coordinate Authority programs and projects and to meet its long-term facility needs. Work also involves ensuring regulatory compliance, developing, and administering budget, supervising staff, and planning and scheduling work assignments. Reports to the Executive Director.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Business Management, or closely related field; possession and maintenance of Master’s degree or valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred; supplemented by six (6) years previous experience and/or training that includes solid waste management, solid waste engineering, landfill operations, landfill site design, transfer station operations, program management, budget administration, and supervision; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Special Requirement

Must possess (or obtain within twelve months of employment) valid South Carolina Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO) Certification

Pay: $90,735.00 - $96,179.00 per year
