We're looking for a Director of logistics to help us manage the flow of products through our network of warehouses, maintain accurate inventory and globally receive products, equipment and materials. The successful candidate will be part of a flexible and dynamic team that travels to various warehouses, monitors inventory levels and ensures that shipments are delivered on time. The incumbent will identify and implement the proper warehouse and distribution footprint for the operation. Responsibilities:

• Ensures the safe operation of all warehouse facilities.
• Manages all logistics associated with the storage, transport and delivery of finished product.
• Receives products, equipment and material such as packaging material and dunnage.
• Supervises logistics warehouse employees.
• Responsible for all logistics functions.
• Oversees the day-to-day workflow of all warehouses.
• Handles discipline of union employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
• Gathers needed information on and understanding of customer demands; meets specific needs for shipping, inventory management, distribution, and fulfillment.
• Builds and maintains relationships with customers to identify opportunities for new services and further expansion of the logistics function.
• Maintains the integrity of the ERP and other logistics related systems.
• Leads the inventory control process, and ensures accurate inventory is maintained at all times.
• Completes all required management reports.
• Identifies problems and inefficiencies in logistics processes; presents and implements enhancements and solutions to address these issues.
• Maintains current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient service to clients.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Must have advanced inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 7-10 years of experience in distribution or transportation industry required.
• Advanced strategic warehouse and logistics experience required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
