Position Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Information Technology Director who is passionate about further developing and managing a world class IT ecosystem and team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the direction of our IT infrastructure and business applications including architecture, security, compliance, policy and procedure, digital workplace, and cloud platforms. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong knowledge of modern IT infrastructure and applications with a focus on systems architecture, have experience implementing and managing applications and technology within a fast-growing company.


Responsibilities

  • Ability to plan, implement and direct IT operations (including cloud backend: MS Teams, Google, MDM, Okta, Zoom, etc.)
  • Develop a proactive approach to IT strategy, best practices, policies and regulations.
  • Drive large complex IT projects like office build outs and system migrations.
  • Establish KPIs and report on them.
  • Work with Finance and Legal on new and existing vendor relationships and own the IT budget
  • Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization.
  • Write system requirements, conduct RFPs and contract reviews with the ability to recommend and approve all hardware and software procurement activities.
  • Responsible for Inventory of Applications, Software and Hardware for the company.
  • Responsible for addressing IT security vulnerabilities with a hands-on approach, even willing to get into the trenches of IT Support.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop system strategies and standards.
  • Consult with Digital Platform Manager on customer-facing LMS architecture and support robust infrastructure stability and security.
  • May need to spin up and manage an internal development team for future growth.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science or Information Technology related field.
  • Ten (10) years or more professional experience in computer sciences, technical IT operations management or providing support to staff within an engineering environment.
  • Solid prior experience managing Active Directory, O365 user-based environment.
  • A clear understanding of client/server technology and network architecture.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Data Management Solutions, SSMS, SSIS, SSRS.
  • Prior experience maintaining and modernizing legacy technology.
  • Knowledge in setting up and automating SSO/MFA for scale (Scripting, Workflows).
  • Expert level knowledge with system integrations and networking (Wi-Fi, VPN).
  • Good communication, including writing, speaking and active listening.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced leadership and conflict management skills.
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
