Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking a dedicated leader to provide support and oversight of the housekeeping and laundry services across campus. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of Senior Living services and provision of the utmost quality of housekeeping and laundry services across the Life Plan Community. As the Director working at CKV, we will provide you with opportunities to enjoy a friendly work environment guided by Christian values.

This opening is for a full-time position with the ability to work day, evening and weekend hours as needed.

Starting salary ranging from $50,000 - $65,000 per year.

Job Description:
As the Director of Housekeeping & Laundry Services, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

• Overseeing all housekeeping and laundry operations for the CKV-TBHC community. Establishing best practices for housekeeping and laundry services and ensuring that the utmost standards are met for environmental safety and cleanliness across the campus. Working independently under consultative direction of the Senior Administrator of Facilities to achieve and maintain high standards that exhibit a commitment to excellence in the environmental appearance of the CKV-TBHC interiors.
• Responsible for exercising the high standards set forth in Cross Keys Village-The Brethren Home Community's Core Values. Models excellence in customer service. Holds others accountable for maintaining the utmost level of quality housekeeping and laundry services.
• Hiring, evaluating, motivating, coaching and disciplining Housekeeping and Laundry team members in compliance with Human Resource policies. Promoting teamwork and implementing strategies to achieve departmental and campus goals.
• Creating staffing schedules and communicating these schedules in a timely manner. Ensuring team members work effectively and efficiently to meet expectations.
• Developing, implementing, and revising established policies and procedures to ensure that the interior environments of the campus are maintained to CKV-TBHC standards, State and Federal regulations, and industry best practices.
• Working collaboratively with each service line administrator to fulfill all requirements.
• Communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Responding to requests for service with the goal of providing exceptional customer service. Responding to urgent, unexpected service needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Demonstrating strong skills in setting priorities for tasks and projects.
• Demonstrating proficiency in budget management and fiscal stewardship. Preparing the annual Housekeeping and Laundry Department budget in collaboration with supervisor, administrators, and Purchasing Department. Responsible for monitoring department expenses and working within budgetary guidelines. Demonstrating understanding of fiscal considerations in goal setting and decision-making.
• Conducting routine inspections and audits on a timely basis and identifies areas of opportunity to improve services. Developing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and reporting outcomes to Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Committee (QAPI).
• Ensuring that all housekeeping and laundry equipment is kept in good working order. Working with the Maintenance Department and outside vendors to perform preventative maintenance and repairs. Preventative maintenance duties include but are not limited to dryer vent cleaning, washing machine and dryer maintenance, ride-on vacuum and extractor maintenance.
• Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies and equipment in collaboration with Purchasing Department.
• Keeping Safety Data Sheets (SDS) up to date.
• Collaborating with Sales & Marketing Team and Residential Living Leadership in preparing for Village admissions. Ensuring “room readiness” for all clinical care admissions.
• Coordinating and overseeing contracted environmental services for the campus. Identifies gaps in available services needed by Residential Living residents and providing leadership in developing or contracting for these services. Assessing contracted housekeeping and laundry services to provide recommendations to the CKV @ Home Director and Villagers for personal cleaning services.
• Staying apprised of new developments in the industry. Identifying and presenting training programs designed to improve skills of team members to improve the quality of service to those served.
• Providing timely, confidential input from direct reports who are noticing changes in Villagers or residents' environments to RL Care Team leaders or clinical care administrators so that appropriate follow-up can occur.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior supervisory experience in environmental services management is required. Prior experience in the Senior Living, Hospitality industry, or a related field with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility and supervision strongly preferred.
• Must posses a valid driver's license
