Director Of Customer Service Sales

As a Director Of Customer Service Sales, you will drive the sales performance of Robotics & Discrete Automation Service & Digital Platform in Auburn Hills, Michigan, specifying and implementing effective sales and business-development initiatives in line with global strategy. Responsible for development, implementation, and execution of sales strategy for the Customer Service group in order to achieve volume targets.

Your responsibilities

  • Strategy/Reporting: Responsible to develop sales strategy for each segment within Customer Service including Rebuild, Parts, Service, Remote monitoring, Training, System Service, Integrated Service Plans and Preventative maintenance. Create a monthly forecast for each P&L (Profit & Loss) within Customer Service. Report statistics for each sales person’s performance and hit ratio on a monthly basis
  • Business Processes: Customer interface for Customer Service sales staff to handle complaints and issues. Negotiating – responsible to price parts and create blanket pricing for product. Participate in capture team selling for new products.
  • Responsible for business development for all new Service products
  • Leadership: Build individual strategic account plans per customer with each sales person. Coach each sales person on a daily basis especially the off site sales staff to discuss issues, current sales volumes, or to assist with customer interactions. Resource management – must ensure appropriate staff levels can support the amount of sales being pursued

Your background

  • BS/BA in business or marketing or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5+ years relevant sales experience
  • 5+ years in robotics, automation, automotive, etc. a plus
  • Understand customer quality service
  • Needs a technical orientation or experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Able to be open and honest in communications even with bad news
  • 50% Domestic Travel, International may be required
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
