Primary Purpose: To oversee the business aspects of the child care center.

Office Responsibilities:

* Collecting and entering childcare tuition and doing weekly deposits.

* Maintaining Procare as far as entering new children, tuition collected changes in rates, and yearly registration fees.

* Making payment plans for parents who have outstanding balances.

* Managing ELRC subsidy co pays, enrollment summaries, adverse actions. Also completing monthly attendance sheets for payment and sending the ELRC subsidy form to corporate.

* Verify Union parents’ eligibility with the union fund office. Have parents sign the Union Sheet each month and bill and fax to Bensalem Location.

* Manage payroll each week. Also manage staff paid time off and vacation time and make sure they are paid correctly.

* Oversee the ordering and usage of supplies, both paper and office.

* Collecting weekly lesson plans and distributing monthly newsletters and calendars to parents.

* Marketing your center to potential parents and building enrollment. Giving information over the phone, scheduling tours and follow up with prospective families.

Staffing Responsibilities:

* Make sure that each classroom is in ratio according to the Department of Human Services.

* Hiring new staff when openings occur. This involves interviewing potential staff and then possibly setting up a working interview.

* Willingness to cover breaks or fill in rooms for the time short staffed.

* Providing staff with yearly reviews and helping them to set goals for the upcoming year.

* Providing staff with information regarding the benefits (PTO, Vacation, health, etc.) and being aware of the requirements for eligibility and enrollment dates.

* Following the proper channels of discipline for staff to violate policies and procedures of Early Learning Children’s Academy

* Be available and visible to your staff. If they are having problems with a child knowing they can come to you and talk or vent will help them.

State Regulation Responsibilities:

* Knowing and following the Department of Human Services regulations

* Conducting yearly inspections by the state

* Maintaining children files. Every 6 months the emergency contact forms and agreements are signed and updated. Physicals are provided for the proper benchmarks listed in DHS Regulations.

* Maintaining staff files. Staff receives physicals every 2 years. All clearances for new staff are received within the 30 day probation period and renewed every 60 months. Proper documentation is in the files and organized.

* Following up on new regulations that the Dept. of Human Services adds.

* Scheduling first aid and fire safety trainings to meet regulations.

* Making sure that your staff has completed the necessary amount of trainings for the year according to state regulations and current STAR level.

Center Responsibilities:

* Maintaining the overall look and “first impression” of the center.

* Cleaning hallways and office

* Planning and scheduling fun center wide activities i.e. in house field trips, pajama day, breakfast mornings.

* Creating a fun and safe environment for children.

* Handling any maintenance items for the center.

Responsibilities to parents:

* Maintaining positive relationship with parents.

* Providing a safe environment where the parents feel comfortable leaving their children.

* Discussing behavioral or developmental issues with the parents.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
