Under the Director of Finance, the Director of Billing Services is responsible for the supervision of billing staff and for all Home Health and Hospice billing matters and assuring that documents and processes flow in a coordinated and efficient manner.


  • Minimum of five years, experience preferably in billing or billing management of a home health care company billing Medicare Part A and working with DDE.
  • Strong computer skills and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Thorough and working knowledge of Medicare Home Health billing/CMS regulations and requirements
  • Demonstrates an understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding regulations and guidelines.
  • Understands basic medical terminology. HCHB Experience Preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Billing all insurance within timely filing guidelines, as well as follow-up on all claim rejections to ensure proper payment.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of claim appeals process.
  • Manages billing reports to assure that all billing is captured accurately and timely.
  • Completes chart audits.
  • Transfers OASIS data to the State timely and accurately.
  • Keeps Administrator/Controller apprised of problems/concerns/delays within billing department.
  • Assures Claims Integrity for the agency.
